Europe’s oldest city Plovdiv is holding the prestigious title of the European capital of culture. The city has developed a vast event calendar and one of the greatest events in it is the festival Hills of Rock.
This year the headliners of the first day will be DISTURBED. Since their foundation in 1996, one of the most successful American bands, have more than 16mil. sold copies of their albums. Their last album – EVOLUTION was released on October 19th and is said to be one of the best in their career.
In the second day of the festival headliners will be the amazing WHITESNAKE! David Coverdale and his folks have announced the world tour FLESH & BLOOD 2019 which will present new songs from their upcoming album as well as some of the biggest hits they have released during their amazing career. The first single from the new album – Shut Up & Kiss Me and its music video are about to be released in 2019 just before the tour starts.
Headliners of the last day will be the alternative rock band GARBAGE. So far, GARBAGE have sold more than 17 million albums in more than 35 countries. Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker & Butch Vig will make sure you have an amazing evening with their music!
Along with the big guys on different stages will be playing other rock bands like Synhersy, Adimiron, Maika, The Toasters , White Mahala and many more.
 
Day 1 - 28.06.2019: Arrival in Plovdiv
Arrive in Plovdiv and check-in at the hotel. Have some free time for rest and in the afternoon the bus will take you to the rowing channel where the event is taking place to attend the concert of Disturbed.
Day 2 - 29.06.2019: Plovdiv city tour
Breakfast at the hotel and morning at leisure. At 11:30 h start the city tour of Plovdiv with a local guide. Plovdiv is considered the oldest continually inhabited city in Europe and the 6th oldest in the world. The Eternal City, as Rome is conventionally called, is much younger than Plovdiv. Athens, Carthage, Constantinople came into being later. A contemporary of Troy and having survived Mycenae, Plovdiv is a city upon layers of epochs. We will visit the Old Plovdiv architectural reserve, awarded golden medal for architecture by UNESCO – the national revival houses complex, the ancient Amphitheatre, the Roman Forum and Stadium, St. Constantine and Helena Church. In the afternoon the bus will take you to the rowing channel for the concert of Whitesnake.
Day 3 - 30.06.2019 Plovdiv – Bachkovo – Plovdiv
After breakfast we depart for Rhodopi Mountains and will visit the famous Bachkovo monastery. It is the second largest in Bulgaria and one of the oldest Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Europe. The Cathedral Church of the Virgin Mary (dating from 1604) is the place where a valuable icon of the Virgin Mary Eleusa from 1310 is kept (brought from Georgia). According to the legend, the icon is wonder-working, attracting many pilgrims. In the afternoon we return back to Plovdiv for the last night of the Hills of Rock with headliners Garbage.
Day 4 - 01.07.2019: Departure from Plovdiv
After breakfast check-out and depart from Plovdiv.
