The festival is a parade of Bulgarian and foreign folk costumes, combined with entertainment in an authentic atmosphere and mandatory personal involvement of every visitor.
Day 1 - Sofia - Karanovo - Sliven - Zheravna
Depart to Zheravna. En route, visit the Karanovo mound, where in 2009 a team of archaeologists unearthed an archaeological find of exceptional value – a burial chamber of a Thracian warrior with a four-wheel chariot along with the remains of two horses with their lavish decoration of bits and harnesses and two dogs. Visitors to The Eastern Mound can view this original Thracian chariot and an exact copy of its bronze trim, which was found scattered at the site. Proceed to the town of Sliven for lunch break on your own. Possibility to visit Sliven Museum of Textile Industry – the only of its kind in Bulgaria. Arrive in Zheravna for an overnight.
Day 2 - Zheravna - Kotel - Sofia
Dive into the atmosphere of the most colourful Bulgarian festival. Enjoy the rich festive program: demonstration of folk crafts, authentic Bulgarian folklore, traditional kitchen, Turkish sand coffee and juicy traditional sweets. Afternoon departure to Sofia.
