Perperikon is one of the most important archaeological sites in Europe and worldwide. The archaeological complex includes a large megalithic village carved into the rock, where cult activity to the Sun-God was performed back in the V millennium BC.  Among the other artifacts unearthed on site are fortified walls, many graves, sanctuary and a palace, which was considered to be the residence of a Thracin tribe – besi. Today, the glory of Perperikon was resurrected and the site became one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bulgaria.
We will visit also one of the most puzzling megalith monuments in Bulgaria – the cult temple near the village of Tatul, which existed 4000 years ago. It is deemed to have served as a shrine dedicated to Orpheus. The place is magnetic and impactful with its panorama view over the neighboring hills
